| Owner's notes: Built by Hugh Morgan under close supervision of James Wharram in west Wales. Hugh was a Gurkha and built a village in Nepal called Pakljhawa, hence he named the boat after the village. Built in 1992 but very little sailed until 2002 when I bought her. In 2003 did refit, carrying out recommendations of survey, i.e., redesigning the keels as darts and fitting protective metal strips, work on the cockpit and fitting a strut between the pod and the forward beam. I also had the roller reefing refurbished. Since then there has been a continuous renewing and upgrading of various bits of gear. Most of my sailing in her has been fairly local to her home port of Milford Haven, but with some very exciting sailing, top speed recorded so far was 15.7 knots. She is, however, very seaworthy, as I found out a few years ago sailing her singlehanded in a Force 7 around Lands End to Plymouth for a Wharram Meet. She gave me a very secure feeling as she handled the wind and waves in a very well behaved manner. | |||||
