Pahi 42, built UK. ref 1081

  From the owner
Pahi 42 Captain Cook, registered in UK. She is owner built (inside a factory unit) for extended blue water cruising. Built to James Wharram's specifications up to the gunnels, changes made make it a monocoque design which includes a full cabin across the deck encompassing both entry hatches which means that it is possible to remain dry whilst walking from one hull to the other. Both hulls are double skinned with a foam core. Bow and Stern beams are aluminium mast sections for strength and lightness. She was built using the West System (cloth/epoxy). She is sloop rigged and everything is operated from the cockpit with the exception of raising and lowering of the mainsail. As the surveys will tell  you, She is in very good condition and well equipped. She has been a much admired boat and has sailed well over the last six years. She was launched in July 2000 and began her journey from UK to Australia via the Panama Canal in July 2001.
Hulls/Decks etc
Large slatted stern deck of iroko( regularly oiled). Front deck netted with a central iroko ladder rack. Non skid surface covers much of deck of the hulls (some wear). A yellow rigid bimini/dodger (sunbrella and S/S) covers the whole steering position. Through hull fittings are in good condition. The monocoque design means that the hulls provide walk through accommodation with full headroom (No beam protrusions). The hulls were painted professionally with five coats of two pack. Top deck repainted 2005. Paint throughout is two-pack.
