  From the owner:
This is a beautiful Narai II (12,40 m/ 4,5 tons) made out of the best material: solid mahogany and mahogany plywood. She had been professionally built by a craftsman working at Dornier (aeroplanes). For two years she stayed in sweetwater and was brought to the Mediterranean Sea in 2003. Since 2005 I have been sailing around in Greece,. A Narai is a very good and safe sailingboat . You can go very close to the wind and there is no problem to go through the wind. She is a boat for pure sailing. When I met James Wharram he told me: "This is a Narai, the last one that I constructed by myself, before she (he pointed to Hanneke) came into my life...because, women always need more space." That`s true. My Narai hasn`t got as much space inside as a Pahi, but she is the better sailingship.

More from the owner:

Chehili is originally built, but the system to fix the beams is not classical and less noisy than the original. They are fixed with elastic rubber blocks and you can correct the position, if it is necessary to eliminate some noise. You can find "Chehili" on James Wharram`s hompage. She is an example for traditional designs. James and Hanneke visited "Chehili" in 2005 and Hanneke asked, if she would be allowed to copy some details.
