| This is a beautiful Narai II (12,40 m/ 4,5 tons) made out of the best material: solid mahogany and mahogany plywood. She had been professionally built by a craftsman working at Dornier (aeroplanes). For two years she stayed in sweetwater and was brought to the Mediterranean Sea in 2003. Since 2005 I have been sailing around in Greece,. A Narai is a very good and safe sailingboat . You can go very close to the wind and there is no problem to go through the wind. She is a boat for pure sailing. When I met James Wharram he told me: "This is a Narai, the last one that I constructed by myself, before she (he pointed to Hanneke) came into my life...because, women always need more space." That`s true. My Narai hasn`t got as much space inside as a Pahi, but she is the better sailingship. | |||
