Professionally custom built 1986/87 to a very high standard,
launched 1987. foam sandwich construction throughout incl. all bulkheads and furniture, using glass / polyester / Airex foam, hulls up to flare reinforced with Kevlar, main X-beam stiffened with carbon fibre. huge watertight compartments in bows and X-beams (plus of course the buoyancy of 12 or 20 mm foam core in the sandwich throughout). |
1994: -hulls up to flare glassed over twice using West epoxy, overlapping (i.e. 4 layers) in the contact area when drying out -Gelshield epoxy osmosis prevention treatment -engines thoroughly overhauled -rig totally dismantled, mast repainted (total of 6 coats), all components reassembled with zinc-cromate paint and monel rivets -forestay and babystay replaced. 2000: -topsides and deck repainted. |

HATCHES Lewmar, 6 on deck and 2 escape. 2 custom made sliding entrance hatches. DECK EQUIPMENT 7 Lewmar winches, all self-tailing (3 x 40, 2 x 46, 2 x 52) plus spares. tracks, cars and jammers by Antal, main track radiused and full width of deck. turning blocks by Harken and Lewmar, some custom made, many spares. RIG mast 15.25m single-piece alloy extrusion. rod rigging on diamonds with double spreaders. other rigging in 1x19 SS except babystay which is Dyform. running backstays, running checkstays, running intermediate forestay (NOTE: runners are to improve performance only and NOT to keep mast up). Harken roller reefing. all halyards and topping lift in Kevlar or Spectra, 2-part main halyard. SAILS fully battened main with 3 slab reefs, 37 sqm radial cut roller genoa with foam luff, 29 sqm slab-reefing inner/storm jib, 7 sqm masthead drifter, 40 sqm all 4 above sails in top quality bluewater spec dacron by Stephen Ratsey. masthead spinnaker, 125 sqm, yellow spinnaker, 110 sqm, blue/yellow with sock system all sails in excellent condition. ENGINES 2 x Yamaha F9.9AEUL 4-stroke petrol/gasoline with electric start and alternators (for battery charging) and remote controls, plus many spares and workshop manual in 4 languages and full parts catalogue. |

| PS I own 2 boats and both are still for sale. over and above what is mentioned here in the spec, I have a lot of "loose" general chandlery and yachting equipment which does not belong specifically to one boat or the other, my intention is to split that as required between the 2 boats. obviously, as long as I still have 2 boats, the first one to buy will have a greater choice. for example, first to buy will also get a Zodiac Fastroller 285 inflatable dinghy with a Mercury 3.3 outboard motor. | |||||
