Sails: Roller reefing Genoa with fully battened main using lazy-jacks for reefing & stowing. Engine: Yanmar 3GM. Has had same engineer service for last 10 years & all recommendations have been done. Electrical/Navigation: 12v system. Nav deck & steaming lights. Ample lighting in all cabin areas. Two batteries, the starter battery is new. Battery charging when on shore power. VHF radio Depth sounder Navtex Fluxgate compass Magnetic compass Garmin GPS. Auto pilot. Plenty of charts. Electronic barometer Waterproof cockpit speakers. 12v to 220v inverter. 12v Powerful handheld spotlight Ground tackle & on deck: CQR Main anchor + 2 others with chain & rope. Galley/plumbing etc: Hot & cold pressurised water system. Stove with grill (Serviced last year) Pots & pans etc. S/S sink. Ample storage space & good work surfaces. Teak floor. Good headroom - 6'2". Large Ice Box (V large) under starboard hull bunk. 4 x gas cylinders Toilet/washing: Hand pump toilet, very reliable. Large holding tank with hand pump for emptying but in practice siphons nicely. Hand basin with hot & cold through shower-head. Shower has handpump. Dinghy: Hercules 265 (new in 2006) Misc: 8 large fenders & socks. Metal & plastic buckets. Main hatch may be replaced by large plastic bubble for ocean passages. The large wood & Perspex wheelhouse was made in Sweden & the blue toft top, zipped on rear flyscreen incorporating waterproof panels were new in 2003. Windscreen with opening panels were last year's improvement, a large awning zips on ~ cool! Large comfortable cockpit cushioned throughout in matching blue 'leatherlook'. New white sunsail. New blue microfiber-fabrics upholstery in saloon. This boat was collected by the first owner from the Prout factory and sailed to Sweden and on eventually to Turkey via the Canals & Rivers of Europe. It was the first boat to cross West to East when the Berlin Wall came down! In the 10 years under the next owner's command under the British flag it had a much less eventful life, with 9 months a year spent quietly on the hard. With the current owner the name went back to the original and has been used just 2 months a year for the last three years, the rest on shore in Turkey and Greece. |
