ACCOMMODATION:
Moving from the cockpit forward there is the sink/galley to starboard.
Immediately on the portside is the propane stove. Forward is the saloon
dining table that is cleverly removed from the passageway when not required.
This creates a more open plan living area. On each side of the settee's
there are two 3/4 beds one port & one starboard.
Moving forward there is a head, toilet and sink.
Forward of the head is A "V" berth.
The interior was finished in summer 2007 and is spotless. In addition to the
main hull there is substantial storage in each of the outer hulls for
fenders, spare sails etc.
ELECTRONICS:
With this boat being so new all electronics are of a high standard and are
less than 2 years old. The installation is professionally completed and has
been sensibly laid out for ease of use.
Standard Horizon Digital Multi Data Instruments. Depth, Speed and Log newly
installed and in perfect working order.

MAST & SAILS:
The concept for Moonbird was to set up a comfortable cruising trimaran where
the occupants could sail FAST & SAFELY.
This has been achieved with various extras not found on a trimaran of this
size
This Norman Cross Trimaran can virtually be sailed without having to leave
the cockpit. However if you have to the wide decks allow safety of movement.

ELECTRICAL:
The best lighting system was used to ensure low amperage usage. With 14
lights throughout the vessel you can be assured of a light environment while
reading your favourite book while swinging on anchor.
Additionally there is a masthead, steaming, stern and bow lights set up and
ready to go.
The modern electrical panel with has a master switch to control the draw on
the batteries.
HEAD:
For cruising comfort and to comply with regulations in Canada and the USA a
holding tank has been installed. A macerator 12 volt holding tank pump out
has also been added for ease of use.
GALLEY:
The galley is designed to allow full headroom while cooking or cleaning and
is set in the companionway to maximise space. The galley has a sink, a
propane stove, a work area, cutting board. An extra on this Norman Cross
Trimaran is pressure water from faucet, a 12 volt cooler to ensure cruising
comfort.
There are ample cupboards and drawers for storage to extend your cruising
time at sea. Additional storage is found throughout he boat in cleverly
designed area.
COCKPIT & POWER:
The cockpit has been designed to be safe and roomy. All sail controls lead
to the cockpit. Power is provided by a new outboard on a lifting bracket.
Cruising under power will have you travelling at 7 knots with ease. Faster
than most sailboats three times the size.

1000's of islands in the sheltered waters off the west coast of Canada and
the USA (one of the most desirable sailing areas of the world) also the
inside passage during the summer months and then on to the Pacific and
beyond. Also the boat is moored at a Marina with 24 hour security, showers,
toilets, power and water with full use of the swimming pools, water slides,
restaurants and other facilities. The international airport is 7 minutes
away and the Skytrain rapid transport to downtown Vancouver (20 min) goes
right from the Marina. There are many shops and malls nearby as well. |
