Kurt Hughes D 23 Trimaran 23' 7" x 18'

  Owner note:
New Old Stock. Never used. Currently stored indoors

Main hull:
cylinder moulded plywood, composite decks

Floats: Tortured plywood.
Good condition, one hatch had a leak and material in that area was replaced.

Rig & rigging:
Takes Hobbie 18 rig or anything similar. Craigslist has recently listed several rigs locally that would suit. Someone wanting to race the boat would probably want to get a suit of sails made up for it eventually.

Misc: Currently stored indoors on a trailer. The trailer is available for moving, but not currently for sale. Main reason for selling it is to get the boat out of workshop, and to downsize to trailer sailer.

More from owner.
This design was originally marketed as a Tremolino Eater, because the fat foils, beam, large volume floats, larger rig, and light weight composite structure that made it a screamer alongside the Tremolino.

Other than refreshing paint, the boat requires a new beachcat rig, and the addition of a winch or two, and it could be sailed as is. The boat is sold with the original plans which provide a pathway for customizing the boat for even higher performance. The owner also has the new plans for the current design, which can be referred to for upgrades such as a more modern sail plan.

This boat would be ideal for someone considering a boat on a mouring, at say the Toronto Multihull Club, and who enjoyed racing etc...
